- Wehrpass to Unteroffizier Adolf Rheinstädtler. From November 1937, he served as a PaK soldier in the 14. Kompanie of Infanterie-Regiment 78, part of the 26. Infanterie-Division. He earned the Westwall medal and fought on the Western Front in 1940 with this unit. After some time with Infanterie-Regiment 240 he was then discharged in May 1941 - undoubtly to resume his work in the war industry. Called up again in July 1944, he ended up with Reserve-Grenadier-Bataillon 193, which was sent to protect the Reich's borders against the advancing Allies in the West, and eventually absorbed into the 176. Infanterie-Division. Rheinstädter fought on the Albert channel in Belgium (nice entry "Abwehrfront - Westen "Albert Kanal" ") and was wounded in the Belgian-Dutch border area near Maastricht, Holland, on the 16th of September 1944.
