Small grouping to Schütze Fritz Möhring, who earned the EKII for the French campaign with 8./ Infanterie-Regiment 277, part of the 83. Infanterie-Division. It consists of:

  • Award document for the EK2, July 1940, very used condition, hand signed by Generalmajor Kurt von der Chevallerie, Knight's Cross and Oak Leaves winner.
  • EK2 Award, original three piece construction, sadly the suspension ring has come loose, so the ring and ribbon are not attached anymore.
  • Aluminium dogtag by the same unit 8./Inf.Rgt.277, very good "as worn" condition with a (French!) religious pendant attached.
  • Handwritten diary, updated from December 15th, 1939 to September 5th, 1940. Includes his account from the French campaign, for some days very concise (Holland and Belgium), for others more detailed, like for the fighting on the Marne and on the Loire near Gien, where he likely earned his EKII.

Unusual and nice matching set of a soldier in the French campaign!
