- Superb Soldbuch to Unteroffizier Franz Wlasich. First issue from September 1941. After his basic training and Fliegertechnische Schule, he moved to France in 1942 and served for an entire year on the Werftteilkommando Cambrai-Süd. In June 1943, he was transferred to a higher profile unit: the 8. Staffel of Nachtjagdgeschwader 4. The Staffel was located in Juvincourt, north of Reims, France. Though mainly used as a mechanic ("Flugmotorenschlosser"), he did serve on board of the Messerschmitt Bf 110s (plus Do 217 and Ju 88) as well, undoubtly as a Bordmechaniker. Notice the "Fliegendes Personal" entry on page 1.
- While returning to Juvincourt during a flight on 8th of May 1944, his Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4 “3C+RS” was attacked by 8 Spitfires. The pilot managed to crash land the burning plane in Beaurieux and was unhurt; Wlasich got wounded and was evacuated to hospital in Reims, but survived. This crash is documented in night figther databases. Notice the hospital entries on page 8-9 starting with Kriegslazarett 1/528 in Reims on 8th of May 1944. Wlasich was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz the next day, entered on page 22. He returned to his unit, retreated with NJG4 to the Heimat (through the air bases of Twente, Mainz, Kassel and Paderborn) and surrendered to the Allies at the end of the war.
- Soldbuch in good condition, the cover is loose but a 100% complete and packed with entries. Many interesting equipment and pilot specific entries like extra "Fliegerzulage" pay, Jagdhose and Jagdbluse, a watch ("Luftwaffen-Uhr"), the Führergeschenk, and a Hungarian Frommer pistol on page 20. Original portrait photo inserted during his NJG4 time.
