Extensive document and photo grouping to Oberleutnant zur See Max Grebler from Regensburg. Grebler originally served as senior NCO on board of minesweepers. He already earned the EKII in May 1940 for actions on the Danish shores, then earned the Minensuch-Abzeichen on board of Räumboot R-81, and finally also the EKI in August 1942. Following his very good performance, he was promoted to Leutnant zur See by the 8. Räumboots-Flottille in January 1943, and after following several other courses he was admitted to the Uboot branch later that year. He mostly served with the 23. U-Flottille in Danzig, the 19. U-Flottille in Pillau, as well as the 1. and 3. U-Lehr-Division. He likely did not see any war patrols but held officer functions at these training units. The grouping conists of:

• Soldbuch, first issue from November 1941. Very nice portrait photo with officer's Schirmmütze in wear, partly torn but 100% original to the Soldbuch. Interesting entries include the Uboat related units and signatures, U-Boot shirt issued, a private watch, the 3 award entries and payments in Danish crowns and Belgian francs. 
• EK2 Award document, May 1940, hand signed by Vizeadmiral Hermann Mootz. Punched, not folded. 
• Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boots-Jagd- und Sicherungsverbände award document, hand signed by Kapitän zur See Carl Wilhelm Weniger. Punched, not folded, with some damage and tearing on the right side. Nice layout! 
• EK1 Award document, August 1942, hand signed by Kapitän zur See Joachim Plath, later Konteradmiral. Punched, not folded. 
• Promotion document to (planmässigen) Obersteuermann from September 1937. 
• Six more documents, including his Führungszeugnis and Verpflichtungsschein for the Reichsmarine from 1928, certificate of a Steuermannslehrgang from 1937, declaration of Aryan descent, death card of his mother and copy of the Rangliste der Deutschen Kriegsmarine assigning him to a Torpedo-Lehrgang für U-Boote in September 1944.
• Grebler's photo album with nice blue Kriegsmarine cover and 42 original photos. These include great portrait photos of Grebler wearing all his awards, also in postcard size, photos from officer courses, on board of ships, etc etc.; complete except for 1 photo.
