Small award document grouping to Unteroffizier Wilhelm Vahle, who served with Jagdgeschwader 5 "Eismeer" on the northern front in Norway and Finland. Although first deployed as ground personnel, the EK2 suggests he may have been used later in a flying role as well.  

• Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern, November 1940, while serving with the II. Gruppe of Zerstörer-Geschwader 76. Hand signed by Generalleutnant Kurt Pflugbeil, Knight's Cross and Oak Leaves winner.  
• Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse mit Schwertern, September 1943, with facsimile signature of Hermann Göring and hand signed by Generaloberst Bruno Loerzer, Knight's Cross and Pour le Mérite winner.  
• EK2, November 1943, hand signed by General der Flieger Julius Schulz, DKiG. Awarded for action with III./J.G.5 from its base in Petsamo, mainly targeting the Murmansk area.
