Award document for the Eiserne Kreuz 2. Klasse, issued in Bergen, Norway, on 20th of April 1940 to Mechanikerobergefreiter Karl-Heinz Woiste. Very early date for an EKII in the Norwegian campaign, it is very likely he was a crew member of one of the large battle ships starting the attack on Norway on 10th of April.
Excellent hand written signature by Vizeadmiral Otto von Schrader, former WWI Uboot ace, Knight's Cross and DKiG winner, as Admiral der norwegischen Westküste, with matching stamp.
Some damage in the lower right corner and upper middle, folded, not punched.
