Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Antonius Ohlmann. First issue from May 1944, when this young electrician from Gehweiler (Saar) joined the Luftwaffe just before his 18th birthday. Unsurprisingly due to his civilian profession, Ohlmann was trained as a Funker in a Luftnachrichten regiment. After half a year, he was forwarded to the Fallschirm-Ersatz-und-Ausbildungs-Brigade "Hermann Göring" 1. This elite traincing unit of the "Hermann Göring" division was stationed in Holland, with Ohlmann's II. Bataillon in Amsterdam. From here, he was forwarded to his active unit at the end of 1944: the 3. Kompanie of Fallschirm-Panzer-Pionier-Bataillon 2 Hermann Göring, part of the Fallschirm-Panzergrenadier Division 2 Hermann Göring.

Heavily engaged in the defense of Eastern Prussia with the Fallschirm-Panzerkorps Hermann Göring, he fought as a Fallschirmjäger Panzerpionier near Gumbinnen before being trapped in the Heiligenbeil pocket. Here, he was wounded mid February 1945 and evacutated by sea to the Reservelazarett Boizenburg, where he arrived with a shrapnel wound on 17th of February. Notice the "Frontzulage" payment entry until February 8th on page 20; this may be the day he was wounded. Though he was released from hospital quickly, it is unsure if he saw action again in the last weeks of the war. He received the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz for his Heiligenbeil wound.

The Soldbuch is missing the unimportant vaccination/dentist pages 15-16, and the leave pages 23-24. Page 1-2 is loose. The portrait photo was at one point removed but then glued back in - due to the stamp and staple hole traces it is 100% unquestionable the correct one! The Soldbuch comes with the original "Begleitzettel für Verwundete" wound tag that he received by the Hauptverbandplatz operated by the Hermann Göring Sanitäts-Kompanie; this confirms the shrapnel wound in his left thigh.
