Wehrpass to Obergefreiter Horst Fietkau. First issue from November 1940. The 19 year old from Elbing (now Poland) was educated as a car mechanic and this experience was surely put to good use when he joined the Luftwaffe in October 1941. From April 1942, he served with the staff of Flak-Regiment 27 fighting on the Krim. The particularly nice battle list on page 32 mentions fighting for Kertsch before retreating from the Festung Sewastopol towards Romania in May 1944. For the last stage of fighting on the Krim, Fietkau was awarded an EKII in April 1944, as well as the KVKII mit Schwertern and a Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen in Bronze. Although unsigned and backdated, the EK2 entry on page 23 does look original.

After the retreat to the Heimat, Fietkau was sent to the Western Front with Flak.Rgt.27 in September 1944. The nice list includes fighting in the area of Lorraine, Metz and Thionville in France, before crossing the border into the Reich again in the Westwall area (Saarlautern / Zweibrücken), through Trier and Kaiserslautern to the Rhine front (Mannheim), and the final battles in southern Germany: Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Aalen, Ingolstadt, Regensburg, Straubing and Landshut.

The Wehrpass has some damage on the cover, and the empty pages 47-50 were removed. Else it is in good condition. It comes with his Wehrmacht-Führerschein, adding a nice uniform portrait photo to this small group.
