Soldbuch to Panzerschütze Hans Bohlander. First issue from March 1945, by the "Pz.Fla.Ers.u.Ausb.Abt.1". This Panzer-Flugabwehr company was, according to the matching stamp on page 2, part of the Panzer-Ersatz-Abteilung 204. Indeed, this Abteilung had been training Flakpanzer crews on late-war material such as the "Möbelwagen" and "Wirbelwind" in Schwetzingen. It had a 3.(Pz.Fla) company specifically used for the Flakpanzer, and it looks like this unit retreated from Schwetzingen to Wechmar near Gotha due to the nearing front lines in March 1945. Bohlander, born in 1927, was not even 18 years old when joining this unit. He might have seen some last ditch unit in the Gotha/Erfurt area, and surrendered to the Americans weeks later.
The Soldbuch is in very good and complete condition, though with denazified cover and issued without portrait photo, and comes with three extra documents:
- A nice Reiterschein by the SA-Reitersturm 8/151 in Zweibrücken, January 1944.
- His RAD Entlassungsschein from January 1945.
- Vaccination document from his POW time in 1945.
