Party book "NSDAP Mitgliedsbuch" to Friedrich Wilhelm Fiedler, a "Flugzeug-Funker" born in Mülhausen but living in Berlin, and later Hamburg. He joined the NSDAP on the symbolic day of 1st of May in 1933, receiving the party number 2.641.198.

The book is a 1935 version produced by the Reichsleitung München, including seven introducing pages with the list of the 1923 Putsch victims and an introduction by Hitler. It was issued in October 1938 by the NSDAP Ortsgruppe Hamburg - Jarrestadt. Given his civilian profession, it is quite possible he joined the Luftwaffe at a later stage, the stamps stopping in 1941 also point in this direction.

The party book has contribution stamps going from 1938 to 1941, including specials stamps for the Reichsparteitage in 1938 and 1939. On page 30 is an extra entry for a transfer to the NSDAP Ortsgruppe Hamburg-Stadtpark, and on the last page an extra NSDAP Quittungskarte document was pasted in - the reverse with stamps for 1937-'38 is still mostly visible. The Parteibuch is in very good condition, complete with all 48 pages and the portrait photo, with an intact red cover showing the party eagle.
