Wehrpass and award document grouping to Obergefreiter Helmut Wüster. This young Dortmund based man joined the Luftwaffe in July 1940. He received basic training and then a six week training as Fallschirmjäger with the 7. Flieger-Division, before joining the Fliegerhorstkompanie of Altenburg for a year in 1940-'41. In 1942, he served with the Kraftwagen-Werkstattzug der Luftwaffe 2/3, which brought him to the African theater. Wüster earned the German-Italian commemorative medal, the KVKII and the "Afrika" cufftitle for his deployment with the DAK, staying in Italy after his dismissal from Africa.  

Here, in March 1944, Wüster joined the Fallschirmjäger again, with the 1. Kraftfahrkompanie of the 4. Fallschirmjäger-Division, then fighting on the Anzio beachhead front. He joined the retreat of his division towards Rome late May 1944, and further into northern Italy in June, through Viterbo to Siena, which it had to leave on 3rd of July 1944. Now fighting on the streets leading to Firenze, the 4.FJD sustained heavy losses and personnel like Helmut Wüster were used to fill the front lines. He joined the III. Bataillon of Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 10 on 19th of July 1944, when the front moved to the north of Florence. During the hard fighting near the Futa-Pass, Wüster was reported MIA on 2nd of September 1944. Since he isn't included in the Volksbund database, he was likely taken POW by the British.

• Wehrpass, first issue from July 1940, in very good and complete condition, with Fallschirmjäger entries, Africa awards including a curious entry "Lybien-Erinnerungsmedaille", MIA entry "nördlich Florenz" with III./FJR.10, and a nice portrait photo as a young boy. 
• Award document for the German-Italian commemorative medal, August 1942, by an Oberst of Fliegerführer Afrika. 
• Award document for the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern, August 1942, hand signed by Generalleutnant Otto Hoffmann von Waldau, Knight's Cross winner in Africa. 
• Wehrmacht-Führerschein, March 1944.
