Soldbuch and Wehrpass grouping to Hermann Wieczorek. Wieczorek served for over five years as a volunteer with the Luftwaffe, notably at the aiport bases of Alt-Lönnewitz (1939-'42), and then in Norway at Forus (1942) and Vaernes (1942-'44). In September 1944, he was transferred to the Heer, and this is when his Soldbuch was opened.
Wieczorek was now trained on the Nebelwerfer and then sent to the 7. Batterie of Werfer-Regiment 89, newly formed in October 1944 as Heerestruppe for action on the Western Front. With the Volkswerfer-Brigade 17, it was part of the 6. Panzerarmee during the Ardennes Offensive, crossing the German-Belgian border in the Monschau area. In January 1945, Wieczorek earned the KVKII mit Schwertern for his part in the offensive and his unit was moved to the Eastern Front in Hungary. Here, in May 1945, he would transfer to schwere Werfer-Regiment 24 and would receive a last-minute promotion to Unteroffizier.
The Soldbuch was issued in October 1944 and is in very good and complete condition. A portrait photo was never inserted, as confirmed in an extra document. The Wehrpass is a first issue from January 1937 and has the cover loose, but is in very good and complete condition.
