  • Photo album from his RAD time, over 40 photos in a nice cover from Arbeitsgau XXII (Kassel), serving with RAD-Abteilung 1/224 in Goppenhausen, 1936. Includes a postcard sized studio portrait, a very large group portrait, photos with gliders and airplanes, and more. On the last page, his family pasted five photos of his grave on Crete. Most but not all photos are shown here, quality of the images is much better in original.
  • Newspaper "Mittelrheinischer Anzeiger" from July 1941 including his death announcement.
  • One postcard sized and one smaller portrait photos of his prewar Heer service.
  • Last group portrait of Beckhaus and his FJ comrades before his death; Beckhaus is the central NCO wearing the MP40 pouches!
  • Two Feldpost letters by his family who were returned with notice "gefallen für Grossdeutschland"; one sent on the exact day of his death, one mid June 1941 when the family was already very woried because of the lack of replies.
  • Last Feldpost card and last Feldpost letter sent by Beckhaus to his family in April 1941.
  • Another blank Feldpost envelope, Crete postcard, and letter by the mother on his death.

The WASt archive cards providing more details on his death are shown for reference only.
