Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Rudolf Krachmer. First issue from April 1940. A photographer in daily life, Krachmer seems to have continued this job in the military as well, since he was trained in a four month "Bildlehrgang" with Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 11 mid 1940. He then served in a number of seaplane bases: Heiligenhafen, Travemünde, Tönning and Swinemünde.

On 1st of February 1943, he entered African soil with the Geräteausgabe und Sammelstelle 4/1, as can be seen on the nice "in Afrika eingetroffen" entry on page 21 and a long list of tropical equipment. This unit was stationed in Tunis. During these last months supporting the DAK in Tunisia, Krachmer earned the Afrika cufftitle and the German-Italian commemorative medal, both entered on page 22. He entered Allied captivity following the general surrender of the DAK in May 1943.

The Soldbuch is a 100% complete with all pages. A portrait photo was never entered due to his early capture.
