Soldbuch to Sanitäts-Soldat Franz Wüstefeld. First issue from January 1940, with an uncommon purple cover. After basic Luftwaffe training, Wüstefeld received a three month course as a medic in April-July 1940, before entering paratrooper training at Stendal. He was then forwarded to the Fallschirm-Artillerie-Abteilung in August 1940. He received a new FJ Erkennungsmarke by this unit on 23rd of September 1940, but this is the last dated entry in the Soldbuch.
Wüstenfeld did remain in active service. On 19th of October 1944, he was killed as Unteroffizier just southeast of Venray, on the Maas front in Holland, during the end phase of the battle of Overloon. He was first buried in a field grave in Klein-Oirlo, later reburied in Venray, and now rests in Ysselsteyn, Block H, Reihe 10, Grab 240.
The Soldbuch is a 100% complete and in very good condition. A portrait photo was never inserted. Notice the long list of FJ uniform and equipment pieces entered on the extra page 6/7.
