Soldbuch to Zugwachtmeister der T.N. Erich Klimke. First issue from April 1944, opened by the T.N. Ersatzabteilung in Olmütz, now Olomouc in Czechia. Rare Soldbuch variant made specifically for Technische Nothilfe personnel. His units include the TN-Feld-Einsatzgruppe West, with whom he served in occupied France mid 1944, until he was forced to evacuate following Operation Dragoon in August 1944. Notice on page 20 the Wehrsold entry in French francs by Fp.Nr. 11866, for Kreiskommandatur 998 in Aurillac, in the Cantal department in central Southern France. Another 'Marschverpflegung' entry on page 15 was also stamped by this Kommandatur.
Arriving back at Olmütz following his retreat from France, Klimke ended up in the Festung Olmütz, as can be seen by the nice "Aufenthaltsbereichtigungs-Ausweis" from mid March 1945, which was prolonged for an extra month mid April 1945. This ID permitted him to enter the area of the Olomouc fortress. The front lines moved close to the city, but the Russians only marched in on 8th of May 1945.
The Soldbuch is in complete and very good condition, including a nice portrait photo. Interesting entries include various equipment and an FN 7.65 mm pistol with ammunition on page 8. Two extra pages in the back allow him some benefits as the TeNo was considered part of the Polizei. The Soldbuch was published in the book German Third Reich Era Documents by J. Young & D. Meinz, on pages 222-223 of Volume III.
