Soldbuch to Signal-Obergefreiter Heinz Dumschat. First issue from January 1943. Born in the Eastern Prussian city of Tilsit, Dumschat served in a number of various Kriegsmarine units. He was first with the 7. Batterie of Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 509 based on the Atlantikwall in Frederikshavn, Denmark in 1943. After training as a radio man with the Nachrichtenschule Waren (Müritz), he was sent to Greece with the Marine-Nachrichtenoffizier Athen. Here, he moved to Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 603, protecting the Greek coast.
By May 1944, he transferred to the Küstenschutzflottille Dodekanes, guarding the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. Dumschat remained patroling the Greek coast until the end of the war, as can be retrieved from the gloves equipment entry on page 13, with Fp.Nr. 68095-B, for Küstenschutzflottille Leros. His service on board of the Greek coastal protection ships was rewarded in May 1945 with the Minensuchabzeichen.
The Soldbuch has the cover loose but is in very good and complete condition.
