Small award document grouping to Leutnant Wilhelm Appel, a propaganda officer serving with Filmgruppe 1 of the Heeresfilmstelle. This movie department was attached to the Oberkommando des Heeres in Berlin, but Appel was clearly also detached to the Eastern Front. The group consists of:

• Award document for the Krimschild, May 1944, facsimile signed by Generalfeldmarschall Erich von Manstein.  
• Award document for the Romanian Crusade against Communism award with "Krim" bar, 1943.  
• Letter by the Film- und Bildarchiv des Heeres joined to this last award, notice Appel resided on the famous Kurfürstendamm in Berlin, the number 224 is now home to the Hard Rock Cafe...

The documents are in good condition, folded, not punched.
