Soldbuch and Wehrpass grouping to Unteroffizier Friedrich Dormann. Called up by the Wehrmacht in January 1941, Dormann's main unit was Landesschützen-Bataillon 717 in Danzig (1941-'43), before sent off to a Holland based training with the 2./ Lehrabteilung des Chefs des Transportwesens in April 1943. He was then sent to the Feldeisenbahn-Betriebs-Abteilung 13, responsible for operating and maintaining military field railways in the East. Notice on page 1944 the anti-partisan fighting (Kämpfe m. Banden) and service in Hungary and Poland. Particularly interesting is a "Sturmtag" (assault day) he was attributed on 10th of January 1944 at Sarny, western Ukraine. Dormann received a last-minute promotion to Unteroffizier and survived the war.
The grouping consists of:
- Soldbuch, missing the pages 11-14 and the back cover. Interesting entries include the Führergeschenk and several pistols.
- Wehrpass, complete and good condition.
- Confirmation document for the Sturmtag in January 1944.
- Three Wehrstammrolle documents, confirming the battle list and other details.
- Postwar CDU political ID and a few more documents mostly from the Allied occupation time.
