Grouping including the cufftitle and award documents to Leutnant Max Biesel, a young Kriegsberichter officer with Propaganda-Kompanie 621. This press company was attached to the 18. Armee for a long time, first on the Western Front, then on the northern section of the Eastern Front. Biesel was badly wounded on 12th of February 1944 near Luga, and paralyzed after being hit by shrapnel in his back. He succumbed to his wounds on 7th of March 1944 in the Armeefeldlazarett 1/572 in Dorpat (Tartu), Estonia. The grouping consists of:
- Propagandakompanie cufftitle, black cotton with silver flatwire embroidered text, full length 40 cm, width 4 cm, excellent original piece in slightly used, good condition.
- Matching pair of officer collar tabs.
- Award document for the Ostmedaille, August 1942, hand signed by Obstlt. Müller of Armee-Nachrichten-Regiment 520.
- Award document for the KVKII mit Schwertern, January 1944, facsimile signed by Generaloberst Georg Lindemann, Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner.
- "Heldentod" large A4 sized KIA document, March 1944, hand signed by his Kompanieführer of Propaganda-Kompanie 621, including the accompanying letter sent to his parents.
