Soldbuch to Unteroffizier Alois Weber. First issue from September 1941, when this 19 year old from Tübingen was trained as Flak gunner in Rottweil am Neckar. Two months later, he was sent to occupied France with Reserve-Flak-Abteilung 195, active in the area of Tours and Poitiers. May 1942, he switched to leichte Flak-Abteilung 96 (mot.), newly formed for service on the Eastern Front. After a long hospital stay in 1942, Weber began seeing action with his Abteilung in the East in 1943 (Brjansk area), leading to the awarding of the EKII in August 1943, and the Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwafffe in January 1944.  

Early August 1944, in the Polish-Ukrainian border area (Lemberg), Weber was badly wounded by shrapnel. He remained in hospital until the end of the war, receiving the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, and was released by the French from hospital in Tübingen in June 1945.
