- Small Soldbuch grouping to Gefreiter Erwin Mühlner. The SB is a Zweitschrift issued in July 1944 by his active unit, Divisions-Füsilier-Bataillon 121, formerly known as Schnelle Abteilung 121, the reconnaissance unit of the 121. Infanterie-Division. Mühlner had already earned the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz and the EKII with this unit, fighting on the Wolchow front, then retreating to the Luga area. Shortly after this Zweitschrift was issued, Mühlner also earned the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen, now in the vicinity of Pleskau (Pskov). The 121.ID continued its retreat westward through Latvia and ended up in the Kurland pocket: here Mühlner was wounded a second time. He survived several bullets and ended the war in hospital, where he was captured by the Western Allies.
- The Soldbuch shows the clear traces of a bullet penetrating the lower edge of the entire booklet on the day of his wound in November 1944. Page 5-6 shows damage in the center. Else it is in very good and complete condition. A portrait photo was never inserted. Added to the Soldbuch are his Arbeitsbuch and POW discharge papers, which mention scars from his wounds on many parts of his body.
