• Soldbuch grouping to Unteroffizier Wolfgang Kaerger. He first served with units of the 262. Infanterie-Division in France and Russia, until the destruction of his division late 1943. He then joined the Fahrkolonne of the 277. Infanterie-Division, stationed in southern France (Narbonne). Following the invasion of the Allies on D-Day, the 277.ID was sent to the front in Normandy, saw lots of action around Caen, and was ultimately destroyed in the Falaise pocket. Uffizier Kaerger undoubtly did not escape captivity in Normandy. The last dated German entry in the Soldbuch was in May 1944. By October 1944, we see a dated stamp locating him in the POW Camp Buhot near Arromanches.
  • Lots of entries in this complete Soldbuch, including the MP40, a Serbian rifle, the F├╝hrergeschenk, and an Ostmedaille award that was later officially removed.
  • The Soldbuch comes with seven additional documents, mostly from his POW time.
