- Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Heinrich Blum. Called up at the age of 38 in August 1939, Blum joined Infanterie-Regiment 655, part of the newly erected 379. Infanterie-Division in March 1940. It served as occupation force in Poland. Because of his higher age, Blum was released from duty in October 1941 - but called up again in 1944 to serve with the Landesschützen-Bau-Pionier-Bataillon (B) 25. With this unit, he earned the Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen in 1944: after the invasion of the Allies, the works on the Westwall were started again, and the medal was reinstituted. The 1944 awarded Westwall medals are much rarer than the original ones issued in 1939-40!
- The Soldbuch is a 100% complete with all pages. It comes with his wedding portrait from around 1930.
