- Wehrpass to Fritz Lotz, who entered Kriegsmarine training with the 6. Schiffs-Stamm-Abteilung in Steenwijk, Holland, 1942.
- The Wehrpass has only limited entries, but further research shows that Lotz was among the entire crew of 51 hands who were killed in action on board of Uboot U-343 when it was sunk by British depth charges between the coasts of Sardinia and Tunesia, 10th of March 1944. They were on their third patrol and Lotz had reached the rank of Matrosen-Obergefreiter.
