- Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Max Finzel. This Leipzig born professional driver served with the Kriegsmarine from early 1942. Some of his more interesting deployments include the Marine-Flak-Abteilung 224 (heavy 10,5 cm batteries in Hademarschen), the Marine-Flak-Abteilung 254 also in the Heimat, and then from the summer of 1944 he was sent to Italy with the 32. Marine-Kraftfahrabteilung. He served there as a driver in the port of Genua (Genova), entered the Marinelazarett Genua early April 1945 with genital problems, and finally taken POW while still in an Italian hospital one month later. An entry made during his POW time places him in a POW camp in Cesenatico from at least May to August 1945.
- The Soldbuch includes many tropical equipment entries, medical entries for his stay in a Genova hospital and a nice portrait photo. It is complete with all pages and comes with a "Aufenthaltsbescheinigung" locating him in Genua-Nervi in March 1945 and a POW Personalausweis.
