- Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Bernhard Holbeck. This carpenter from Essen received no less than seven "Sonderurlaub - Bombenschaden" leaves because his home in the industrial city of Essen was bombed by the Allies. He spent most of his military career in Luftnachrichten units in Brussels (Belgium), Güstrow, Dresden and also in the East, earning him the Ostmedaille. By late 1944, however, he was to fill the ranks of the 21. Panzer-Division that had retreated from Normandy with very heavy losses. After a short training in a Panzer recruit company, he was assigned to Panzergrenadier-Regiment 125 of the 21.PD. With this unit, he fought in the "Nordwind" offensive in the French-German border area, after which he was moved to the Oder front. There, the division surrendered to the Russians.
- The Soldbuch has some loose pages and loose back cover but is still a 100% complete.
