- Soldbuch to Unteroffizier Gerhard Lahl. First issue from April 1940. Lahl served as a Nachrichten soldier with the 704. Infanterie-Division in Yugoslavia, active in anti-partisan and security operations. In 1943, his division was reformed into the 104. Jäger-Division in Greece. Apart from the divisional Nachrichten-Abteilung 104, Lahl also served with Jäger-Regiment 724, as can be seen in his promotion entries. Early 1944 he spent a month in hospital in Agrinion, western Greece. Later that year the 104.JD would retreat from that area through the Balkan, finally surrendering to the Yugoslavian army in 1945. The 104. Jäger-Division is known for a number of war crimes, including the massacre of thousands of Italian soldiers of the 33rd Infantry Division Acqui in 1943.
- The Soldbuch pages are loose from the cover and page 21/22 is missing. Many other extra pages were inserted.
