- Soldbuch to Gefreiter Heinz Mäser. First issue from January 1942. While fighting with Infanterie-Regiment 685 of the 336. Infanterie-Division on the Eastern Front, Mäser was wounded by shrapnel in the Charkow area in June 1942. Released from hospital late August, he joined the staff of Panzer-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 18. He joined a Panzer Fahnenjunker training but apparently he failed: instead of a promotion to NCO and later officer, he was transferred to the Luftwaffe in December 1943. A strange career shift, as usually it was the other way round. In the second half of 1944 he had ended up in a reserve anti-aircraft unit, the schwere Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung 8, and was eventually released from service. Likely his war wound was the main obstacle.
- The Soldbuch is a 100% complete and in very good condition. Entries include his Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz and a pistol. Very nice black Panzer wrapper portrait. Comes with a Kriegsurlaubsschein from 1944.
