• Soldbuch and Wehrmacht-Führerschein to Obergefreiter Josef Pfeifer, who served with the 9. Panzer-Division until he was killed early in the Russian campaign in Szepetowska, 12th of July 1941. The Soldbuch was started as early as August 1939, ten days before Pfeifer's first deployment with Aufklärungs-Regiment 9 in the Polish campaign. Still in the same recon Schwadron, he participated in the invasion of Holland during May 1940, then progressed through Belgium to France. There, his unit was used to create the divisional Kradschützen-Bataillon 59 and prepared for the Russian campaign - where Pfeifer met his fate only three weeks into the campaign. His body is missing since.
  • Soldbuch in good condition, cover is loose but the booklet is a 100% complete. A portrait photo was never inserted, as normal for an early KIA Soldbuch.
  • A portrait photo is provided, however, on the extra Wehrmacht-Führerschein. This ID bears the great signature of Major Wilhelm Schmalz, Kdr. of Kradsch.Btl.59, later DKiG (1942), Knight's Cross (1940) and Oak Leaves (1943) winner.
