- Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Ludwig Domes, who entered service with a reserve Flak unit in July 1940. After his anti-aircraft training, he joined the Flak-Abteilung 766 in August 1940. He would stay with this unit for most of the war. The Abteilung was part of the 2. Flak-Division and was sent to Northern Russia in early 1942. He was awarded the Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse. Still fighting with his unit within Heeresgruppe Nord, Domes was wounded by a shot in his breast in December 1944.
- When he was released from hospital in February 1945, made an interesting career change: he was absorbed into the Heer and served for the remainder of the war in Grenadier-Regiment 422, part of the 126. Infanterie-Division fighting in Kurland. Most likely Domes surrendered with this unit in the Kurland pocket. In 1946, he was with a POW labor unit. Besides the KVKII, he should have qualified for the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, although this award was not entered in the Soldbuch.
- The Soldbuch is in a very used condition - it has been carried for six years. A portrait photo was never inserted. It is still a 100% complete, with lots of entries and extra pages. It also has an extra cover.
