- Rare Wehrpass to SS Sturmmann Hermann Schenk. This 18 year old boy, former Hitlerjugend member, joined an SS radio training unit in October 1941. On 21st of February 1942, he arrived with the SS-Panzer-Abteilung II, which was being constructed for the Das Reich division. When Das Reich was pulled away from the front, the Abteilung was sent to the Wiking division instead and would become known as SS-Panzer-Abteilung 5. Schenk fought with this high profile tank unit for one year, earned the Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber in September 1942, until he was finally KIA on 24th of February 1943 on the Don front. He is buried today in Charkow.
