• Wehrpass grouping to Wachtmeister Friedrich Neuroth, who fought in Italy with the 29. Panzergrenadier-Division. Neuroth had been serving for two years before the war and was promoted to Unteroffizier after the French campaign with Artillerie-Regiment 9. He was wounded in his breast and legs during the battle for Uman, still with A.R.9 of the 9. Infanterie-Division in the summer of 1941. He finally made it back to an active unit in December 1942, and ultimately ended up in Artillerie-Regiment 29 of the motorised 29. Infanterie-Division while it was reconstructed after its destruction in Stalingrad. The division was soon renamed into the 29. Panzergrenadier-Division. His Regiment was equiped with motorised artillery like the SdKfz 124 "Wespe" and deployed on the Italian front. Neuroth saw action on Sicily, then retreated through Calabria to Cassino, where he was hospitalised with a concussion. Neuroth had been an R.O.B. by then but his promotion to officer was halted by this wound, as can be seen on page 22. He made it back to his Batterie late March 1944, and must have experienced the division's further fighting until the end of the war: the Apenines, Firenze, Rimini, Bologna and the river Po. Friedrich Neuroth was awarded the VWA Schwarz and the EKII.
  • The Wehrpass is in a used condition, with denazification, loose cover and pages. It is, however, a 100% complete with all pages. The portrait photo has been cut down, with one rivet missing, but it's original to the Wehrpass. The booklet comes with some nice extras: his matching aluminium dogtag with leather pouch, and his matching set of shoulder boards, also kept in a pouch.
