- Wehrpass to SS-Panzerobergrenadier Ernst Tintel. He fought with the 5th SS "Totenkopf" regiment on the Eastern Front, including the Battle of Kursk, and was wounded twice - earning the VWA in Schwarz. After his second wound he was transferred to the 17th SS Panzergrenadier-Division "Götz von Berlichingen" on 13th of July 1944. At that time, the GvB was still fighting in Normandy. Likely he was separated from his unit after the retreat from Falaise / Normandy. The battle calendar shows that Tintel retreated to Eastern France, where he was engaged with Gren.Rgt.1212 of the 189.ID until he was declared MIA (presumably captured) on 17th of November 1944 in Trémoins, close to Belfort and Montbéliard.
