- Soldbuch to Oberfeldwebel Werner Kahnt. Third issue ("Drittschrift") from November 1944. At that time, Kahnt was an experienced Bordfunker flying with the 6. Staffel of Kampfgeschwader 51. The Soldbuch was opened with the original signature of Hauptmann Ernst von Freistedt, only 18 days before he was killed in action in a Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter! Apart from the Me 262, Kahn't unit also flew the Me 410 and Ju 88. He had previously been serving with KG2 and KG3, and was a veteran of the campaigns in France 1940, the Blitz, Crete 1941, and the Eastern Front, before turning to the Reich protection in 1944. He was hospitalised after a plane crash accident from October 1944 to late March 1945 and survived the war.
- The impressive award list on page 22, also with original signature of von Freistedt, shows eleven awards, from four grades of the Frontflugspange (up to the Anhänger zur Frontflugspange in Gold), both grades of the iron cross, a Kreta cufftitle and wound badge after a crash in 1943, to his main two awards: the Ehrenpokal in September 1942, and the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold in February 1943.
- The Soldbuch has the portrait photo removed. Else, it is in a very good and complete condition.
