- Soldbuch and Wehrpass grouping to Obergefreiter Josef Fink. His military service started in May 1942. His first front experience was with Panzergrenadier-Regiment 2 of the 2. Panzer-Division from October 1942 until he was badly wounded by shrapnel in the Orel sector of the Eastern front in July 1943. He was awarded the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse and a Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber after this single wound, as he had lost his right eye. It's a small miracle he made it to the front again: following a long recovery, he went through the Wachbataillon Wien to Panzeraufklärer-Abteilung 2 early December 1944.
- Now part of the motorised recon unit of his old division, Fink was just in time to participate in the Ardennes offensive. He was awarded the Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze for the intense fighting in the Bulge, during which the 2.Pz.Div. fought in the battle for Bastogne. The great battle entry on page 33 of the Wehrpass says he was "Eingeschlossen und Durchgeschlagen durch die Amerikanischen Linien zur Truppe": he was encircled but broke through the American lines. Fink was able to retreat from the Ardennes and joined the last ditch Panzeraufklärungs-Abteilung 192 during the last days of the war.
- Soldbuch and Wehrpass still have all pages, but both have the portrait photo removed. Priced accordingly. Also included are two POW ID's made in four different languages. Notice the loss of his right eye is included in his physical description.
