- Award document for the Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber to Unteroffizier Karl Paulus, with a Feldpostnummer tying him to the 3. Kompanie of Panzergrenadier-Regiment 304, part of the 2. Panzer-Division. Paulus earned the silver wound badge after three wounds all sustained on the Western Front. His first one was during the French campaign in 1940, his second wound was during the first days of action of the 2.PD in Normandy, June 1944, and his third one was on the opening day of the Ardennes offensive. On December 16th, 1944, the 2. Panzer-Division crossed the Our river on the German-Luxemburg border between Dasburg and Marnach, and engaged in heavy combat against the US 28th Infantry Division.
