- Deutscher Volkssturm Soldbuch to Volkssturmmann Hermann Kunert. First issue from March 30th, 1945, opened by the Kompanieführer of the 4. Kompanie of Volkssturm-Bataillon 71 V. Notice the stamp by "Gau 21", which was the area of "Breslau Land". The next day he moved to Volkssturm-Bataillon 76 V.
- The 46 year old post worker and WWI veteran was trapped in his besieged home city, whereas his wife was evacuated to Berlin. During the fighting against the Russians, Kunert was killed and reported missing since. The Volksbund grave database list his MIA date as April 9th, 1945, in the Festung Breslau.
- The Soldbuch is complete and in very good condition. A portrait photo was never inserted. It comes with a small piece of paper with his wife's address.
