- Wehrpass to Gefreiter Karl Rack. First issue from February 1939. Rack was an Austrian mechanic when he was called up for military service in June 1939 with Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 50, part of the 4. leichte Division. This was the predecessor of the 9. Panzer-Division. Rack participated in the Polish campaign with another unit of this armoured division: the staff of the Nachschubführer 60. They fought in Galicia, Lemberg, ... but after the Polish campaign, Rack was diagnosed with a lung disease and released from service.
- He was called up again in 1942, and saw service with a large number of reserve units and a few months of front line duty with Infanterie-Regiment 364, part of the 161. Infanterie-Division fighting in Rzhew, 1942. Early 1943, he was discharged again, probably because of the same health issue.
- The Wehrpass is in a used but complete condition. It comes with a Bereitstellungsschein, warning him he was about to be called up again for service late 1941.
