- Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Werner Schneider. First issue from May 1941. Called up by the Luftwaffe that month, Schneider was trained to serve as a Bordwart (mechanic on board) on sea reconnaiscance planes. In January 1942 he was sent to the 1. Staffel of Aufklärungsgruppe 125 (See), at that time based in Billefjord, Norway. When this Gruppe was moved from Norway to the Krim, Schneider stayed with the Ergänzungs-Küstenfliegerstaffel until in May 1944 he was sent to a front unit again: the 1. Staffel of Seeaufklärungsgruppe 131, based on the Black Sea (Varna, Sewastopol). He ended the war with the 3. Staffel of Seeaufklärungsgruppe 126, flying with Arado Ar 196 from the island Rügen. Schneider was awarded the Fliegerschützenabzeichen ohne Blitzbündel in April 1944.
- Soldbuch in good condition, though the cover is loose, but a 100% complete with all pages and the portrait photo. Interesting entries include a private P.08 Luger pistol, the "Fliegendes Personal" marking on page 1, and special pilot equipment such as "Flieger-Schuhe mit erhöhter Schacht" and a "Balkan-Sonderbekleidung".
