• Soldbuch to Grenadier Heinrich Schodl. First issue from April 1944, when he was called up for military service. After his basic training, Schodl joined Grenadier-Regiment 474, part of the 254. Infanterie-Division. At that time, the division was retreating through the Carpathian Mountains to Silesia. There, Schodl was wounded by shrapnell late March 1945. He was evacuated and spent the remainder of the war in hospital. Schodl should at least have been awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, but this award was not entered. Some other interesting entries can be found though, like the rarely encountered Gewehr 43 (K43), Tarnnetz, etcetera.
  • The Soldbuch is a 100% complete with all pages and a portrait photo of Schodl.
