- Soldbuch to Gefreiter Eduard Wimmer. His Soldbuch was opened when he joined the Wehrmacht as a 19-year-old in March 1942. After his basic training and a training to become a Pferdepfleger, he joined Infanterie-Regiment 324 of the 163. Infanterie-Division, active with the 20. Gebirgsarmee in northern Finland. On August 13th, 1943, Wimmer was wounded by shrapnell in his lower legs near Salla, Finland. He was evacuated and spent the remainder of the war in hospitals. Wimmer was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen im Schwarz for his Finnish wound.
- The Soldbuch is in an excellent condition. A photo was never inserted. All pages are complete and fixed. Some interesting entries, like the 'Bataillon Kairala' unit entry, referring to the Finnish place Kairala. Good 'winter war' equipment entries: Windjacke, Pelzmantel, Ohrenschütz, ...
- It comes with a short 'Lebenslauf' (resumee of his military career), and an 'Aufenthaltbescheinigung'.
