Small Wehrpass grouping to Oberjäger Heinz Knoche. Just before his 19th birthday, this student was called up by a reserve unit in Coburg, and after two months of training, forwarded to the staff of Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 206, part of the 7. Gebirgs-Division fighting in northern Russia on the Demjansk / Ilmensee front. After just a few weeks, Knoche joined his unit on its redeployment to the war in northern Finland and Norway. He would fight for several years on the "Eismeerfront", earning the Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse in October 1944 for bravery in Finland. After the general surrender of his division in Norway, he was also awarded the rare Lapplandschild in July 1945.

The grouping consists of:

  • Wehrpass, first issue from June 1941, in complete and very good condition.
  • Führerschein IV. Klasse, April 1939, with portrait photo.
  • Old COPY of his award document for the Lapplandschild, awarded in Verdal (Norway) 1945 - the original was never in our hands!
  • Confirmation about payments made by his unit when leaving Verdal in September 1945.
