Small grouping to Unteroffizier Klemens Noll, a decorated veteran NCO of the 34.ID, who was killed with 2./Gren.Rgt.107 north of Charkow on 26th of August 1943. The group consists of: 

  • Death card, with Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen and EK2 in wear. 
  • Typed KIA letter with more information on his death and burial, hand signed by his Kompaniechef and sent to his father, including the envelope. 
  • Last letter sent by his sister Thekla to her brother, written the day after he was killed and returned with a large "Zurück" stamp with remark "Gefallen für Grossdeutschland". 
  • Two self-made postcards Klemens sent home from the Eastern front shortly before his death; one was made from the bark of a Russian birch. 
  • Death card of his father Ferdinand, who passed away in 1959. Notice the mentioning "Russland vermisst", indicating one of Klemens' siblings was still missing at that time.
