Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Leopold Becker. First issue from October 1941. A driver in daily life, Becker continued his civilian occupation with Panzerjäger units on the Eastern front, mostly within 14./Inf.Rgt.105 of the 72.ID, and then from mid 1944 with Grenadier-Regiment 11 of the 14.ID. With this last unit, he saw action near Grodno, on the Polish-Belorussian border, quickly leading to his second wound and an EKII in the Summer of 1944. He returned to his unit only to be wounded again mid February 1945, fighting with the 14.ID in the Heiligenbeil pocket. Becker was evacuated and ended the war in hospital.

For his three years of service on the Eastern Front, Becker earned a nice list of seven awards, along with the Führergeschenk: the Krimschild in 1942, the Romanian crusade against communism medal, the Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen in Bronze and the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz in 1943, then the Kraftfahrbewährungsabzeichen in Silber and the EKII in 1944, and last the Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber in May 1945.

The Soldbuch is in a very good and complete condition, except for the removed portrait photo. It comes with his Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber award document. Notice the typo "Gren.Rgt.çç" instead of Gren.Rgt.11, and the intact swastika stamp used by Reservelazarett Bregenz, one week after the official end of the war.
