Soldbuch and Wehrpass grouping to Gefreiter Heinrich Born, who served with the Kraftfahrzeug-Abschlepp-Zug 764, a supply unit functioning under the 1. Panzerarmee on the Eastern Front in 1943-'44. On 11th of March 1944, Born was wounded by a bomb splitter in his back, for which he earned the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz. His Wehrpass was damaged in that same bombing, for which he received a Zweitschrift issue in November 1944. The Soldbuch is his first issue from April 1943. Interesting entries include the Führergeschenk, a special "Weihnachtssonderzuteilung 1944", and his relatively early American POW number 31G-1.137.113, suggesting he would have been captured on the Western Front early in 1945. Both booklets are a 100% complete and in very good condition, including the portrait photo. Also included is a note regarding the issue of his Zweitschrift Wehrpass, and his Arbeitsbuch with entries from 1918 to 1925.
