Soldbuch to Gefreiter Hermann Müller. First issue from December 1942. After training with Nachrichten units, the still only 18 year old joined Füsilier-Regiment 68 of the 23. Infanterie-Division on the Eastern Front. In March 1944, he was wounded by shrapnel in his right knee east of Opotschka. He received the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz and later also the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen for his fighting with the 23.ID in the East. Unfit for further front service, Müller joined Heeres-Artillerie-Abteilung 882 in occupied Denmark in 1945. He was issued a Gewehr 43 but likely did not see action again.

The Soldbuch is in a salty, very used condition, but is only missing pages 5-6. Notice the stamps on the portrait photo have faded but the portrait is 100% original to the Soldbuch. Besides the K43, other nice equipment entries include a Yugoslavian rifle, a Tarnnetz camouflage net, a Sommerbluse as well as the Führergeschenk.
