- Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Franz Brunner, who was called up in October 1941 and first served with the Luftwaffe. He was a Flak soldier, also trained for manning the Horchgerät listening device. He was with Flak-Regiment 36 and later Flakscheinwerfer-Abteilung 583 in the area of Hannover, Hamburg and Karlsruhe. In 1944, he was moved to the Heer, by joining the rebuilt Grenadier-Regiment 688 in Gross-Born. As part of the 337. Volksgrenadier-Division, it fought in the area of Warschau and then retreated towards Gdansk. Brunner appears to have survived the war with this unit, surrendering to the Russians.
