- Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Peter Bremm, issued in January 1940. Originally trained as a Pionier, Bremm was judged unfit for front line service due to medical conditions and sent to serve with the newly formed Landesschützen-Bataillon 789 in January 1941. The Bataillon was deployed in Andernach, on the Rhine near Koblenz, and was tasked with the guarding of POW's. He served as a Sanitäter treating his wounds and the 2500 prisioners they were watching over. An extra document signed by his Kompaniechef states this was a crucial task, and that he was not to be moved to another (front) unit. The tactic appears to have worked - the last entry in the Soldbuch is on March 16th, 1945, still with Lds.Schtz.Btl.789. The Allies had advanced to the Rhine area in that time and it is very likely he was taken prisoner soon after this entry.
- The Soldbuch has a few loose pages but is a 100% complete including the portrait photo. It comes with the already mentioned declaration of his Kompaniechef.
