- Wehrpass to Feldwebel Paul Heinz Müller. He joined the Luftwaffe voluntarily in November 1938 and was trained as a pilot. After a career with the Transportstaffel of the VIII. Fliegerkorps he joined Lehrgeschwader 1 in October 1942, operating consecutively in the 12. Staffel, the 10. Staffel, the 11. Staffel and the 2. Staffel. The Lehrgeschwader 1 flew bomber and fighter-bomber missions in the Mediterranean: Italy, Greece and Africa. Müller distinguished himself and quickly added awards to his record: the KVKII, the EKII, the Bulgarische Flugzeugführerabzeichen, the Frontflugspange in Silber, the Frontflugspange in Gold, the EKI, the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, the Ostmedaille, and as an absolute highlight the prestigious Ehrenpokal für besondere Leistung im Luftkrieg, awarded in August 1943. Add to that the not recorded Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen and Frontflugspange in Bronze, for an impressive total of 11 awards in little more than two years.
- Unfortunately, the last award was a posthumous one: Paul Heinz Müller was killed during an attack north of Siracusa, Sicily, Italy on 10th of July 1943. He was buried in Melili. He was a victim of the Allied landing on Sicily, Operation Husky, which had begun one day earlier.
- The Wehrpass is in a perfect and complete condition.
